Tax Fraud - what to look for and tips to stay vigilant
In recent years, there has been a surge of tax schemes and scams, emphasizing the need for heightened vigilance among taxpayers. It's essential to recognize that the IRS does not reach out to taxpayers via email, text messages, or social media platforms to request personal or financial information.
Additionally, instances of tax fraud are on the rise. If you suspect an individual or business is breaking tax laws, please refer the IRS website for guidance on reporting such activities. Tax fraud can manifest in various forms, including kickbacks, falsified documents, tax evasion, unreported income, and non-compliance with tax regulations.
When encountering potential scams or fraud, trusting your instincts is key. If something appears suspicious or too good to be true, it likely is.

INTRODUCING:
Base, Ascent, and Apex Checking!
We're thrilled to share that we're giving our primary three checking accounts a fresh new look!
Simple Checking is now “Base Checking”
Peak Checking is now “Ascent Checking”
Peak Plus Checking is now “Apex Checking”
All accounts still offer the same great benefits they always have, but now they have names that better match the range of products we offer.
You'll see the names Base, Ascent and Apex Checking on our website and in branches. However, if you hear our radio ads or see TV commercials, you might notice that Apex Checking is referred to as “High-Yield Checking”. This is because we want to encourage new deposits to help us grow even more. Your deposits are crucial for us to lend more to our valued members, which strengthens our financial community.
